5 Secrets of Highly Effective Twitter Users

There’s no way to guarantee success with a Twitter campaign, but you can stack the odds in your favor by following some simple tips to vastly increase your effectiveness. Here’s how to get the most bang for your tweet…

You can go read their suggestions. (I might add, “6. If you write articles about twitter, include a link to your twitter account.” But, that is just me. I’m sure Inc. didn’t give Minda Zetlin a say in the matter.)

Personally, I’d stick with:

  1. follow whoever you want – there is no “follower strategy”
  2. listen
  3. be helpful

And a bonus biased comment: twitter is social, social is relationships, if you need a strategy to your relationships something is broken.

as a relationship coach, i'd say that people most definitely need a strategy to their relationships. in fact, it's missing in MOST relationships. conscious intent for an intended outcome= strategy. now, is that strategy 'marketing' based no. but the need for a strategy is there no less.

    hey girl,
So do you have a strategy with friends? do you intentionally plan on how you interact with the people you love? I think there is a difference between strategy and honest relationships that work together. I don't define my practice as a couples therapist as place for them to strategize. It is a place for them to come to understand each other more and in light, learn more about themselves and what can help their relationship grow. I personally think that if they strategize they will find much struggle. Strategy is a plan of action to achieve a particular goal. A husband can strategize to get his wife to not leave him, which, in the end can help him end up alone. A husband can listen, learn to empathize, try to understand, love and change himself and he can win her heart again. I've seen it over and over. The trouble with strategy is that is is individually focused on ones ideals. When in relationship–only focusing on our own ideals– we find struggle.

Hey dub, I definitely feel what you are saying. I think relationships take a lot of work, and would definitely benefit from more intention. I’m just inclined to stray away from the idea of that being a strategy.
