Dark Night

The clouds have arrived and the grey settles in. Sometimes, grey is worse than pitch-black. Elie Wiesel’s “Night” is dark. I would never want to diminish the experience of those who suffered the holocaust of the Jews. And yet, I sometimes wonder if our grey indifference to the suffering, which takes place all across the world this very day, is somehow worse?

If you have not read Night, please do so as soon as possible. And then find the oppressed, the down-trodden, the captive, the broken-hearted and do for them what they are unable to do for themselves.
