Get down tonight

Bought Johny Cash’s My Mother’s Hymnbook off ITMS today. It’s just him and his guitar, and it’s great. Kim know’s all of the hymns by heart, but I don’t think she even knows it. We’re listening to it on our way to Uptown, and she’s been singing along with every song.

Saturday, I helped my friend Nick move into this area. It was a good reminder of why I love this area of town. There are tons of independent stores everywhere, and people just walk around. Now, I’m sitting at the Tea Garden, on wireless. Beauty.

Yesterday, I picked up this book branded: The Buying and Selling of Teenagers by Alissa Quart. It’s a little old but still true, and scarey. I’ll post more once I finish it.

Also reading The Project Gutenberg EBook of The Guide to Reading
Edited by Dr. Lyman Abbott, Asa Don Dickenson, and Others. I really want to go through some kind of “great books” education. And since I can’t afford the money or time to go back to a school like St. Johns, I’m thinking I’m gonna have to do my own version. This will be a good start.

Oh, and I want two turntables and a microphone.
