I love reading things like The Log: What every software engineer should know about real-time data’s unifying abstraction because they stretch my understanding and make me think harder than average. Fortunately I have an amazing team who can think much harder about these things (hell, I can’t wait until we get to start publishing stories like this). So, I don’t have to read this stuff. But, I like keeping my fingers on the pulse of issues we will face a little further down the road.
