Below is my response to a comment on Joe’s Post on theOoze/blog:
I have found that the only way I can navigate my marriage is through faith. Because I can love my wife all I want, and I can know that I will choose to love my wife for life no matter what. But it takes faith to believe that she will love me. And if I don’t have faith that she will love me back, then it gets hard to keep loving her ‘unconditionally.’
It seems to me that most people who ‘struggle with their faith’ really are stuggling to believe that anyone or anything could love them unconditionally.
