saturation

I’ve been catching up on my bloglines tonight since I haven’t had time to read much this last month, and I just hit a saturation point. Like when you’re trying to clean up a liquid spill but the paper towel just won’t take any more. Or when you’re really thirsty, but drinking more water just makes you sick.

I think part of the problem is that I haven’t had time to put all the thoughts anywhere. I have lots of dots, but now I need to connect a few of them.

Tomorrow, Kim and I take off for Florida for Starting a Purpose Driven Church. If you know me at all, you know that I don’t naturally resonate with purpose driven. For me it’s the difference between prescriptive and descriptive. I am planning on being pleasantly surprised. We’ll see what happens. At the very least, I will be much more familiar with the vocabulary and model, so that when I go to communicate my vision I can at least speak a similar language.

And… I will have some time to connect some of those dots.
