Solitude

There are days when solitude is a heady wine that intoxicates you with
freedom, others when it is a bitter tonic, and still others when it is a
poison that makes you beat your head against the wall.

My Aunt shared this quote with the family because her husband and my dad are out fishing in Mexico this week. She has been experiencing some “empty nest” syndrome with her husband gone. And I’ve been in San Diego this whole week without my wife, so I share the sentiment.
