No, I’m not dead…
Well, I’ve been to Texas and back. We flew down Christmas Eve and came back New Year’s Eve. That may not sound like the best travle plan, but let me tell you… it was about $200 cheaper than any other days even close to that week.
Kim and I went to church for a Christmas eve service with the whole family, then we came back and told stories about christmas. Eventually people wandered off to bed while my cousin and I watched Windtalkers. The next morning, I was awoken by the pouncing of my brother and we spent the morning opening presents.
After the dust settled, we headed off for blanco to visit my dad’s family for a couple days. That whole experienced can be summed up in the words, “Black Cat,” “Skip-Bo,” and the best darn food west of the Mississippi.
On the way to San Antonio we watched Two Towers. I’m not even going to get started on that, ’cause I could talk for hours, but I’ll just say it was great, and it’s gonna be a long wait. (But at least I have Reloaded and Revolutions to tide me over.
Well, to make a long story slightly shorter, we spent a couple days in San Antonio (My Dad headed back home for this part of the trip). If you ever go there, make sure you check out The BuckHorn Museum & Saloon. Yeah.
Well, so we’re back home safe and sound and enjoying the new year. So far I’ve kept all my resolutions.
