If Christians would live up to what they profess to believe…

The only thing that can save the world from complete moral collapse is a spiritual revolution. Christianity by its very nature demands such a revolution. If Christians would all live up to what they profess to believe, the revolution would happen.

I’m still working this one out in my head/heart. I haven’t settled on an opinion yet. What do you think?

While on the one hand I’d like to believe this, on the other — and deeper into my commitments — I really don’t think it’s ultimately up to human beings. I think God works through us to accomplish what God intends, and far too often Christians make themselves closed to God’s voice, rather than seeking to be open. I think I’d translate what you’re saying into a need for Christians, in particular, to be as discerning as possible, and that God’s love leads us to that.
