But, that means I have to hold others up to the same standard I have for myself. Or, wait, I have to hold myself up to the same standard I have for others. Either way, I have to actually walk through this world, placing myself in other people’s shoes as much as possible. Fortunately, once I practice this more and more, the better I get at it, the closer I get to being understood. I think most of us primarily want to be understood by others. Which requires us to do as much understanding as possible.
